Bellingham’s girls’ tennis team swept all the doubles matches in its 6-1 victory against Sedro-Woolley on Thursday, April 16, at Sedro-Woolley High School.

Ruby Parker defeated Ashley Hailey in two sets by a score 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 2 singles match. Olivia Bjorklund defeated Beth Floyd 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles.

Ellie Iwersen and Mariah Miller defeated Amy Schols and Emily VanLiew 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 1 doubles match.

“I liked how we played at every match today,” Steve Chronister said in a phone interview. “This was a type of match where the matches were a lot closer than the team score says. I was happy with our performance.”
