Tyler Haggen won two events to lead Sehome’s boys’ track and field team in its 99.5-44.5 victory against Burlington-Edison on Wednesday, April 15, at Kirkby Field in Burlington-Edison.
Haggen threw a winning mark of 52-04 inches in the shot put and a 140-11 in the discus.
The Mariners’ Colton Johnson set a new personal record in the 1,600 with a winning time of 4:30.98 seconds.
“It was a good win to get,” Sehome coach Kevin Ryan said in a phone interview. “We’re right in the depth of training and excited to get some good marks.”
Sehome will compete in the Eason Invitational next at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18, on the road.
