Nolan medals in Bellingham’s first-place finish

Nick Nolan finished as the medalist after shooting a 68 for Bellingham’s boys’ golf team in its first-place finish on Wednesday, April 15, at Sudden Valley Golf Course.

Bellingham finished with a team score of 400. Jonathan Larson shot a 76, good for a second place finish, to help secure the win for the Red Raiders.

“That was pretty exciting for Jonathan,” Bellingham coach David Bobillot said in a phone interview. “It was a solid day for our team. Nick shooting a 68 was special.”

Colton Taxdahl shot an 80 and Zach Gibbs an 81 to lead Sedro-Woolley’s second-place finish with a team score of 452.

Squalicum’s Tavo O’Connell finished with a score of 81 and Brandon Weeda shot an 88 in the Storm’s third place score of 453.

Lynden Christian and Mount Baker rounded out the top five team scores with scores of 456 and 522, respectively.
