Medina wins the 1,600 for the Blackhawks

Lummi’s boys’ track team finished with 26 points, good for ninth place in the 12 team Bill Harris Invitational on Saturday, April 4, at Federal Way’s Memorial Field.

The Blackhawks were led by Enrique Medina, who won the 1,600 with a time of 4 minutes, 35.46 seconds. Medina also placed second in the 800 (2:00.96) and fifth in the 400 (55.64).

Hank Hoskins placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 39 feet, 2 inches.

Lummi will compete next at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, in the Northwest Conference 1B/2B league meet at Mount Vernon High School.
