Marcus McGuinn placed first in the 300 hurdles and ran the second leg of the winning 4x100 relay team for Meridian’s boys’ track and field team in its meet against Ferndale and Blaine on Thursday, April 2, at Blaine High School.
Meridian beat Blaine 99-46 and Ferndale 96-49. Ferndale beat Blaine 82-54 in the meet.
McGuinn ran a winning time of 46.84 seconds in the 300 and Meridian’s 4x100 relay team ran a time of 45.86.
The Golden Eagles’ Daniel Jones won the 100 (11.24), the 200 (22.62) and the 400 (51.72). Roberto Aguilera won the 1,600 (4:24.00) and the 3,200 (9:41.00).

Blaine’s Jon Fakkema threw a winning mark of 43 feet, nine inches in the shot put and placed first in the discus (125-08). Gage Loot took first place in the pole vault with a 12-00 mark.
