Bellingham beats Lynden, 6-1

Bellingham’s girls’ tennis team battled to a 6-1 win over Lynden on Tuesday, March 31, at the Lynden YMCA.

Lynden’s win came from Emily Corbin, who won 6-4, 6-4 in No. 3 singles.

The Red Raiders earned wins from Oriana Locicero, Ruby Parker and Katie Kales in singles and swept doubles play.

“We played better today than we have been coming out of the gates lately,” Lynden coach Trey Ballard said in a phone interview. “We tried to improve in each of the second sets and almost did across the board.”

Lynden hosts Ferndale at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Lynden YMCA.
