Nolan leads Bellingham’s first place finish

Nick Nolan finished as the medalist with a score of 73 to lead Bellingham‘s boys’ golf team to a first-place finish Monday, March 30, at Loomis Trail Golf and Country Club.

“(Nolan) putted well,” Bellingham coach David Bobillot said in a phone interview. “He made an eagle on the 11th hole.”

Ben Henrikson shot an 80 for the Red Raiders in the match to help the team in its first-place finish.

“We’re still a little ways from where we want to be. There’s a lot of work to do,” Bobillot said.

Ezra Arneson led Lynden, shooting a 76 for a second-place finish on the day. Nick Rautenberg led Meridian after shooting an 86.

All the teams will be back in action in mid April following spring vacation.
