The Sehome boys’ track team finished in seventh place with 36 points on Saturday, March 28, in the Don Holder Relays at Eisenhower High School.
Mariners thrower Tyler Haggen set a new personal record with a mark of 154 feet, 4 inches in the javelin, which was fourth overall in the meet. He also set a personal record with a 151-4 mark in the shot put.
Kirby Overman finished fourth in the 1,600 with a time of 4 minutes, 33 seconds, and Colton Johnsen finished third in the 3,200 with a time of 10:03.
“The kids needed to get big race experience. For a full-day meet, the kids did a good job staying focused and it’s going to benefit us later in the year,” Sehome coach Kevin Ryan said in a phone interview.

Sehome will host Lynden, Mount Baker and Bellingham next at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Civic Stadium.
