Blaine suffered a 6-1 defeat in girls’ tennis to Sedro-Woolley on Thursday, March 27, at Sedro-Woolley.
The lone win came from the No. 2 doubles team of Gretchen Kordas and Caitlyn Sharp for the Borderites. They took a 6-4, 6-2 win.
“They played the best of anybody and the results showed it,” Blaine coach John Freal said in a phone interview.
Freal also complemented the play of Saskia Dolk at No. 1 singles in her competitive 5-7, 6-1, 6-3 loss.

Blaine plays again at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, at Bellingham.
