Murphy wins three events to lead Trojans in meet with Mount Baker, Burlington-Edison

Janessa Murphy won the 100, 300 hurdles and the long jump to lead Meridian’s girls’ track and field team Wednesday, March 25, at Burlington-Edison.

Murph ran a winning time of 13.47 seconds in the 100, 27.90 in the 300 hurdles and 16 feet, five inches in the long jump. Mimi Meggison won the 800 with a time of 2:40.25 and Sydney Gospodinovich threw a winning mark of 96-11.

Mount Baker’s Haley Rollins won the 3200 with a time of 12:33.70 and Katherine Dunford threw a winning mark of 9-00 in the javelin.

Meridian and Mount Baker will compete next at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, in the Bedlington Twilight Invitational at Lynden.
