PREP GIRLS’ GOLF PREVIEW: 5 to watch

Maddi Atwood-Knudson

Squalicum, senior

The Storm’s No. 1 has plenty to play for in her senior season. She’ll be hoping to improve on a 16th-place finish at state last year.

Alex Ferrier

Bellingham, junior

Ferrier takes over as Bellingham’s top golfer after finishing 25th at the 2A State Tournament last season. She has the talent to lead the Red Raiders.

Hannah Peterson

Sehome, senior

She didn’t make state last year, but will likely make a push to do so this year. She enters as Sehome’s No. 1 golfer and will help the Mariners be competitive.

Cienna Semsak

Ferndale, senior

Semsak might finally make it to the state tournament this year. She has the potential to get there, and as long as she improves over the season, she’ll probably get it done.

Emma Lochridge

Bellingham, junior

The Red Raiders’ depth is nowhere near where it’s been in past years, but Emma Lochridge gives them a solid No. 2 and has some state experience.
