High School Sports

Ezra Arneson

Lynden, junior

Finished fifth at state a year ago and can fire right around par on any given day. He’s Lynden’s No. 1 and should be among the top five 2A golfers again.

Lincoln Olson

Lynden Christian, senior

With a college commitment out of the way, Olson has the freedom to just go out and shoot low. He definitely has the talent to do so after a sixth-place finish last year at state.

Tavo O’Connell

Squalicum, senior

He didn’t make the cut after shooting a 93 on the first day of state last year, but he gives the Storm a strong No. 1 and may get to the second day this season.

Nick Nolan

Bellingham, junior

A 12th-place finish at the 2A State Tournament is very impressive for a sophomore. A year older, a year stronger, a year wiser can only help Nolan.

Tanner Bass

Mount Baker, senior

After the Mountaineers lost three state participants to graduation, the elder Bass will have to step up and lead Baker. He has the athleticism to compete.
