Jones, Aguilera win 3 events each to lead Ferndale boys’ track and field

Daniel Jones and Roberto Aguilera each won three events to lead the Ferndale boys’ track and field team in a meet against Sedro-Woolley and Lynden Christian on Thursday, March 19, at LC.

Jones ran a winning time of 11.60 seconds in the 100, a 22.98 in the 200 and a 51.77 in the 400.

Aguilera won the 800 (2:06.80), 1,600 (4:35.58) and 3,200 (10:38.09).

Lynden Christian’s Jack Vander Griend won the high jump with a 5-foot, 10-inch jump and his teammate Stephen Cummins won the triple jump with a distace of 36 feet even.

Ferndale’s next meet is on Wednesday, March 25, at Civic Stadium. Lynden Christian hosts Lynden and Bellingham in a home meet the same day.
