Blaine’s Olivia Adams broke the school record in the pole vault with a 12-foot, 3-inch vault at the girls’ track and field meet between Blaine, Mount Baker and Anacortes on Thursday, March 19, at Anacortes.
Blaine’s other winners were Ashley Delligatti in the 400 and Kieya Villars in the 300 hurdles.
“It was nice to get a start on things and find out where we are,” Blaine coach Carey Bacon said in a phone interview.
Mount Baker’s Marissa Scoville won the 100 hurdles and Natalie Smith won the 1,600. Smith was also in contention for the win in the 200, but no official times were available at press time.

Blaine hosts Squalicum and Sedro-Woolley on Wednesday, March 25, at home. Mount Baker hosts Burlington-Edison and Meridian on the same day at home.
