Lynden’s boys’ golfer Alex Crabtree got spring sports season started by shooting a 74 on a wet and windy Wednesday, March 11, at Homestead Golf Course.
The Lions won the non-league meet over Burlington-Edison and Blaine. Lynden scored a 459, Burlington-Edison got a 474 and Blaine finished third with a 587.
“Under the conditions, it was a real positive day,” Lynden coach Russ Dorr said in a phone interview. “We got a lot of work to do, but I really like the way they’re working hard.”
The Tigers’ Connor Atkinson shot an 80, as did Lynden’s Ezra Arneson.
