Squalicum at Sehome boys’ swimming

Isaiah Grambo and the Mariners face one of their city rivals in what should be a good tune-up for the postseason. Sehome beat Squalicum 93-92 last year, and undoubtedly the Storm will be looking to exact revenge and derail another Sehome charge to the NWC title.

Wednesday, Jan. 28

Riley Takemura and Bellingham travel to face Blaine in both team’s final league dual before the postseason begins. Takemura is one of a handful of Red Raider Mat Classic hopefuls, while Blaine will be looking to add a 2A title to the 1A crown in won last year.

Lynden at Ferndale boys’ basketball

Thursday, Jan. 29

The Lions are one of the top-ranked teams in Class 2A, but a win won’t come easy facing John Weg and the Golden Eagles, who are hoping for a big conference victory. Austin Honeycutt and Scooter Hastings will be an exciting matchup to watch.

Lynden Christian at Blaine girls’ basketball

7:15 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 29

Shaye Brandsma and the Lyncs look to continue their strong season with a road test against the Borderites. With standout Taylor V’Dovec back from injury and rejoining Mandy Hayes and Breanna Chau, Blaine is hoping to upset LC.
