Led by a strong cast of seniors, the Mariners will look for redemption against a feisty Cubs’ squad that already defeated Sehome once this year. On Dec. 23, the Cubs topped the Mariners 61-58. This one should be exciting.
Sedro-Woolley at Lynden girls’ wrestling

The Lions barely topped Sedro-Woolley at the NWC Championships, squeaking out a third-place finish by just four points. Lynden’s Emily Gallegos will lead the Lions as they hope to hold off a very tough Sedro-Woolley side.
Lynden Christian at Lynden boys’ basketball

The city rivalry heats up again in the basketball town. Last year, the Lyncs topped the Lions 48-39 last season, and the Lions will be looking to get back on top led by Sterling Somers (17.6 points per game) and Scooter Hastings (15.0)
Nooksack Valley at Mount Baker girls’ basketball
Friday, Jan. 23
Every 1A game means something this year with only three of the four girls’ teams getting into the postseason. The Mountaineers will be looking to get some revenge after the Pioneers knocked them out of the bi-district playoffs last year.
Lynden Tournament boys’ wrestling
Saturday, Jan. 24
Bellingham, Mount Baker, Sehome and Squalicum will all visit Lynden looking to take home a tournament title. They’ll not only have to battle Lynden but 11 other schools from around the area.
