Blaine freshmen come up big in 48-36 victory over Anacortes

Blaine’s boys’ wrestling team got a boost from a couple freshmen in its 48-36 victory against Anacortes on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Anacortes High School.

The Borderites’ were able to get six pins throughout the match, two of those came from freshmen Garrison Folk and Saul Magallon in the 113 and 195 weight class, respectively.

“Garrison got the pin in the last match for us to seal the win and Saul got a pin for us as well. That was huge because that was a toss-up match,” Blaine coach Craig Foster said in a phone interview.

Blaine will wrestle next in the Snohomish Panther Classic on Saturday, Jan. 10, at Snohomish High School.
