Pioneers earn a pair of individual wins in loss to Sedro-Woolley

Miana Rabang and Kaleiolani Jefferson earned wins for Nooksack Valley as the girls’ wrestling team took a 42-12 loss to Sedro-Woolley on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Nooksack Valley.

Rabang earned a win by pin in 4 minutes, 32 seconds in the 125-pound division, and Jefferson had a pin in 3:26 at 190.

“Sedro came out and used their technique, and we came out and didn’t use our technique,” Nooksack Valley coach Michelle Dekoekkek said in a phone interview.

Nooksack Valley’s next match will be against Lynden at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, at Lynden.
