Sehome No. 2 in 2A, LC No. 4 in 1A heading into state tourneys

For the second consecutive week, Sehome’s volleyball team was ranked second in the Class 2A volleyball coaches rankings on Monday, Nov. 10.

The Mariners maintained the No. 2 slot behind Tumwater. Sehome’s Northwest Conference rival Burlington-Edison checked in at No. 6. Sehome took first at the District 1 Volleyball Tournament last week, sweeping Archbishop Murphy in the district title match. The Wildcats were ranked fifth.

In the 1A rankings, Lynden Christian was ranked No. 4 for the second straight week. The Lyncs are the District 1 No. 2 seed at the state tournament, thanks to a sweep of Overlake at the Bi-District Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Cedar Park Christian.

No 3A or 4A rankings were released this week.
