The Lynden Christian volleyball team rolled past Anacortes to a 3-0 Northwest Conference win on Monday, Oct. 27, at Anacortes.
The Lyncs (13-1, 11-1 NWC) were led to the 25-15, 25-14, 25-19 win by Kara Bajema’s 17 kills. Madison Weg added eight kills and 17 assists, and Hannah Rusnak had six kills, including four in the final set.
“Hannah really stepped up at the end of the game and kept it from getting close,” Lynden Christian coach Kim Grycel said in a phone interview. “Sometimes Mondays can be tough to play matches on, but we were really efficient and the girls played with confidence.”
Lynden Christian is locked into the top 1A seed from the NWC and will take on the winner of the Nooksack Valley/King’s match on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Northwest District Tournament after a first-round bye.
