The Lynden Christian volleyball team made quick work of a visiting Nooksack Valley team missing one of its key defensive components in a 25-10, 25-12, 25-7 Northwest Conference victory on Friday, Oct. 24.
“We were really efficient at running our offense,” LC coach Kim Grycel said in a phone interview. “We were able to jump out quick and go on some big runs. Nooksack was missing their libero, Mariah Perry, who is really good on defense, and I think they missed here when we went on some of our big scoring runs.”
The Lyncs (12-1, 10-1 NWC) were led by Kara Bajema’s 14 kills and Madison Weg’s 17 assists. Erika Shaw also had 10 digs and two aces.
LC wraps up the regular season on Monday, Oct. 27, at Anacortes, while Nooksack Valley (3-10, 3-8) will host Squalicum on Monday in its regular-season finale.
