Lynden’s girls’ swimming team won every event in a 125-41 Northwest Conference win over Burlington-Edison on Thursday, Oct. 23, at Fidalgo Pool in Anacortes.
Jadyn Elias won the 50 free with a time of 28.80 seconds, the 100 free with a 1:03.78 and helped the 200 free relay and 400 free relay teams to victories.
“We switched around some events to get them out of the flow a little bit,” Lynden coach Linda Bode said in a phone interview. “ I made some of them that swim short distances swim long. It was a solid swim for us with moving everything around.”
One of those that got moved to a longer event was Shelby DeWaard, who wont he 500 free with a 6:32.91. She also took the 100 backstroke with a 1:15.35.

Also earning victories for the Lions were the 200 medley relay team, Damara Gerbrandt (200 free), Annie Uribe (200 IM), Sarah Styles (100 breaststroke) and Tara Brockett (100 butterfly).
