Ferndale’s volleyball team continued to roll with a 3-0 Northwest Conference win over Mount Baker on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Mount Baker.
The Golden Eagles were led by Taryn Potter’s 16 kills in the 25-16, 25-22, 25-12 win.
“Our team focused on their serve-receive really well and got balls right to our setter to set up the offense,” Ferndale coach Patti Hoelzle said in a phone interview.
Tanya Kashubin led the Mountaineers with 11 digs and six kills. Maddy Tannis added eight kills and three blocks, and Emily Yost had 17 assists.

“We were much more aggressive and scrappy in the second set,” Mount Baker coach Paige Huttula said in a phone interview. “We made a ton of errors in that third set. We played much more aggressively in the first two sets.”
Mount Baker will look to bounce back on Thursday, Oct. 21, at home against Bellingham. Ferndale plays next on Thursday, Oct. 21, at home against Lynden.
