Lynden’s volleyball team couldn’t get by Burlington-Edison, falling 25-23, 25-19, 25-17 in a Northwest Conference match on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Lynden High School.
“We came out a little bit flat,” Lynden coach Julie Clift said in a phone interview. “We battled in the first, but couldn’t keep up with the tempo in the second and third set.”
The Lions’ Lauren Roddy had nine kills, Hannah Hommes had four blocks and Catyler Alex had four aces.
The Lions are currently in a three-way tie with Anacortes and Bellingham but Clift expects Lynden to advance to the playoffs if the Lions win two of their last three games, starting with Ferndale on Thursday.
