Bellingham’s girls’ swim team overtook Lindbergh in the final race to win 94-92 on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Lindbergh High School in Renton.
Trailing by four points, the Red Raiders 400 freestyle relay teams, headed by the A-team of Chloe Steinkamp, Sydney Carrell, Anna McNabb and Olivia Miley, topped Lindbergh’s relay teams to win by a mere two points.
“It was a really good meet,” Bellingham coach Jeff Anderson said in a phone interview. “It was a full team effort. They did what they could. I’m just proud of them for sticking it out, and getting it done.”
Bellingham faces Ferndale on Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Lynden YMCA.
