Squalicum volleyball fell to Burlington-Edison in straight sets on Thursday, Oct. 16, in a Northwest Conference matchup at Burlington.
The Storm battled despite losing in straights, contending in each set to the tune of 25-17, 25-15, 25-17.
“We had some really good defensive rallies and some really good moments,” Squalicum coach Laurie Quigley said in a phone interview. “We’re just still working on stringing them together. Burlington is a good team. Thought we battled.”
Hannay Loy led the way with 25 digs, and Kate Alvord added nine kills.
Squalicum hosts Ferndale at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18.
