Squalicum dominates singles play in win over Sedro

Squalicum’s boys’ tennis team dominated singles play on its way to a 6-1 Northwest Conference win over Sedro-Woolley on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Sedro-Woolley.

Drew Segren kicked things off with a 6-0, 6-0 win but it was Neal Crawford and Jared Rapp that impressed Squalicum coach Joe O’Brien.

“We swept singles today,” O’Brien said in a phone interview. “Neal Crawford and Jared Rapp both had good matches today.”

Kevin Smiley also won his match at No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-4.

Squalicum faces Bellingham on Monday, Oct. 13, at home.
