Lyncs dominate in win

Lynden Christian’s volleyball team rolled to a straight-set Northwest Conference win over Mount Baker on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at home.

The Lyncs were led in the 25-11, 25-8, 25-13 win by Kara Bajema’s 11 kills. Madison Weg added 10 kills and nine assists, and Carli Tjoelker had 18 assists.

“I was really pleased with the team to come out all three games and not let up,” Lynden Christian coach Kim Grycel. “Emily Yost does a good job leading (Mount Baker). She’s hustling all over to get the ball, and I was impressed with her leadership and effort.”

Lynden Christian faces a tough test when it takes on Burlington Edison on Thursday, Oct. 9, on the road. Mount Baker will host Blaine the same day.
