Lynden cruises past Nooksack in straight sets

The Lynden volleyball team topped Nooksack Valley in straight sets on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Lynden High School in a Northwest Conference matchup.

It was the Lions’ fourth win over their past five matches.

“It was a pretty balanced attack,” Lynden coach Julie Clift said in a phone interview. “Nooksack plays pretty good defense. They were able to battle back and keep it closer in the second and third sets.”

Kaitlyn Mark led Lynden with five aces and 23 assists. Lauren Roddy added eight kills, and Alexa Cox had 15 digs.

Lynden hosts Anacortes on Tuesday, Oct. 14. Nooksack Valley will face Ferndale on Thursday, Oct. 9.
