Lyncs, Mariners remain No. 2 in polls

Lynden Christian and Sehome volleyball have yet to suffer a loss this season, remaining locked in at No. 2 in the state volleyball rankings in their respective classes, as voted on by the coaches.

The Lyncs (13-0, Northwest Conference 5-0) are fresh off a tournament win at Reach the Peak, defeating Lake Washington, Stanwood, Woodinville, Glacier Peak, Ferndale and Garfield to claim the title.

The Mariners (7-0, NWC 5-0) have already staged strong wins against Squalicum, Lynden (twice), Burlington-Edison and Ferndale this year.

Lynden fell one spot in the 2A rankings from No. 5 to No. 6 despite winning its last two matches.

Ferndale comes in at No. 7 in the 3A polls, same as last week. The Golden Eagles lost the Sehome in five sets last week.
