Bellingham’s boys’ tennis team remained unbeaten after defeating Burlington-Edison 6-1 on Tuesday, Oct. 7, in a Northwest Conference matchup at Bellingham.
Charlie Carmichael toughed out a 6-1, 7-5 win over Colton Saben in No. 2 singles, which impressed his coach, Steve Chronister.
“Charlie was down 3-0 in the second and he had to come back, and he did,” Chronister said in a phone interview.
The doubles pairing of Zach Nolan and Chris Nakatani also stood out, winning in straight sets over Drew VanPatten and Jake Field.
