Lann impresses in 6-1 win for Squalicum

Squalicum’s boys’ tennis team won all four singles matches en route to a 6-1 Northwest Conference victory over Anacortes on Thursday, Oct. 2, in Anacortes.

“We were pleased with everyone’s performance today,” Squalicum coach Joe O’Brien said in a phone interview. “We played pretty solid.”

Of note was the 6-0, 6-0 win by the Storm’s Tim Lann, who was victorious for the third straight match at No. 4 singles.

“He’s coming through strong,” O’Brien said.

Drew Segren was dominant at No. 1 singles, remaining unbeaten with a 6-0, 6-2 win.

Squalicum (7-1, NWC 7-1) travels to face Sehome on Friday, Oct. 3.
