No match went to three sets as Sehome’s boys’ tennis team defeated Burlington-Edison 7-0 on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Burlington-Edison in a Northwest Conference matchup.
Brady Anderson didn’t drop a game as he took a decisive 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles over Colton Saben. In doubles, Wyatt Brugge and Sam McNamee avenged an earlier defeat with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Max Cook and Dante Zimmerman.
“(Anderson) has been playing solid match in and match out,” Sehome coach Bonna Giller said in a phone interview. “He had very few unforced errors. Doubles-wise I think Wyatt and Sam played really well. They lost to (Cook and Zimmerman) in a three-hour, three-setter last time we played Burlington.”
Giller was also impressed with the performance of Aaron Goldfogel and William Zhang at No. 3 doubles in their 6-2, 6-2 win.
Sehome takes on Bellingham at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at home.
