The Squalicum volleyball team overcame an error-plagued first set to defeat Blaine 3-1 on Tuesday, Sept. 30, in a Northwest Conference match at Squalicum.
“That first game we made 18 unforced errors. Losing by two (27-25) was kind of incredible,” Squalicum coach Laurie Quigley said in a phone interview.
Kelsey Segren led the turnaround with 12 kills. Hannah Loy added 23 digs and Alyssa Dickerson had four aces.
“We just started to minimize errors and just kept the ball in play,” Quigley said. “Our servers in the third and fourth game served really tough.”
