Lions post good times at Montesano

Lynden’s boys’ and girls’ cross country teams participated in the Montesano Invite 5k on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Lake Sylvia in Montesano.

The boys finished seventh at the meet with a score of 152, and the girls did not register a score.

Cole Crabtree led the way for the Lions’ boys with a time of 19 minutes, 7 seconds, and Kornelija Houston paced the girls with a time of 23:21.

Jacob Heeringa was second for the boys with a 19:18, followed by Keaton Hanson (19:46), Josiah Diacogiannis (20:27), Nick Kildall (20:31), Aiden McCaig (20:32) and Luke Wolfisberg (20:43).

Stephanie Johnston was next for the girls with a time of 23:48, with Emily Rick (25:41) and Morgan Nims (26:52) following.

Lynden’s next meet is Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Mount Baker for a conference meet.
