Lyncs run to win

Lynden Christian’s girls’ cross country team strolled to a team victory on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Burlington Airport. Burlington-Edison only mustered 42 points to LC’s 19, and Lynden only finished with four runners, one short of being able to put up a team score.

Lyncs’ Sarah Ball won the 5k race with a run of 20 minutes, 33 seconds. She was one of six Lyncs in the top seven. The others included McKenzie young, Taylor Ten Pas, Brianna Bruneau, Julia Morris and Brandy Bruneau.

Lynden’s Kornelija Houston finished 14th individually, running a 23:15. Stephanie Johnston, Emily Rick and Morgan Nims also ran for the Lions.
