Trojans lead way Wednesday

Meridian’s boys’ cross country team dominated on Wednesday, Sept. 26, on its home track, topping Sedro-Woolley, Blaine and Nooksack Valley.

The Trojans took the top three spots and Collin Magnusson led the charge with a 12-minute, 55-second run on the 4,000-meter course. Derek Morrow (13:48) and Derek Holz (14:01) rounded out the top three.

Blaine got a strong performance from Parker Morris, who finished fourth, but the Borderites only managed a third-place team finish.

Nooksack Valley finished fourth on Wednesday. The Pioneers top runner was Conner Jones, who ran a 15:10.
