The Squalicum volleyball team fell to Anacortes in straight sets on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Anacortes High School.
The Storm struggled out of the gate, losing the opening set 25-9 before giving the Seahawks a good fight in the second and third.
“We had some great moments, again, but that’s been our theme: we have really good streaks and then we are still learning how to string them together,” Squalicum coach Laurie Quigley said in a phone interview. “I thought that we played some great defense. Anacortes had some big hitters.”
Kate Alvord and Kelsey Segren led Squalicum with six kills each, and Hannah Loy added 13 digs.
