Squalicum’s boys’ tennis team earned a 7-0 win, with no match going to three sets, against Sedro-Woolley on Monday, Sept. 22, at home.
Drew Segren set the tone for the Storm with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 1 singles match. Neal Crawford earned the closest win of the day, with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) victory.
“Drew played a very consistent, solid match. It was really impressive,” Squalicum coach Joe O’Brien said in a phone interview.
Carter Nickelson and Liam Brownlie also drew their coach’s praise with their performance in a 6-0, 6-1 doubles win.

“(Nickelson and Brownlie) are playing well and making progress,” O’Brien said. “They’re putting everything together that we’ve been working on. They served well today.”
Squalicum takes on Sehome at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at home.
