LC boys finish 4th, girls finish 3rd at Salt Creek

Lynden Christian’s track team put in a solid team effort at the Salt Creek Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Salt Creek Park in Port Angeles. The Lyncs’ girls finished third and the boys finished fourth as a team. Interlake finished first as a team on the boys’ side and Nathan Hale finished first as a team on the girls’ side.

Jon Wiley paced the Lyncs boys’ team with a 16:36.00, finishing 19th overall as an individual. Behind Wiley was Josh Lingbloom (16:42.46), Jack VanderGriend (16:49.82), Eric Steiger (17:42.88) and Collin Roosendaal (18:34.27).

For the Lyncs’ girls, it was Sarah Ball leading the way with a 19:09.47, good for fourth place individually.

McKenzie young (20:01.96), Taylor Ten Pas (20:29.46), Brianna Bruneau (20:51.23) and Julia Morris (20:51.67) all scored for the Lyncs.
