Sehome’s volleyball team executed and made the little plays to seal a 25-22, 25-17, 25-18 win over Lynden on Thursday, Sept. 11, at Lynden High School.
Megan Greer led the Mariners with 27 assists, 13 digs and two aces. Dani Johnson added 14 kills, and Kayla Thurman had seven kills and 11 digs.
“We came out ready to pass the ball and do the simple things,” Sehome coach Kristy White said in a phone interview. “We knew what we were lacking in our match on Tuesday. We came out slow against Squalicum, but they executed much better tonight. We were able to compete and terminate the ball.”
Lynden struggled to maintain consistency throughout the match, and coach Julie Clift said hopes that getting some added experience at the Lynden Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 13, will help the Lions mesh. The Lynden Tournament begins at 8 a.m. Lynden High School.
