The Lynden boys’ 4x400 relay team set a school record while winning the race Saturday at the Stanwood Invitational track and field meet.
The Lions’ team of Dusty Duncan, Nathan Seely, Jordan Weeks and Blair Bomber clocked a 3:25.53 for win and the new record, according to Lynden coach Layne Hutchins.
Lynden’s 4x100 relay team of Duncan, Brady Bomber, Weeks and Blair Bomber also took first in 44.13.
Also for the Lions boys, Blair Bomber took third in the 200 (22.97); Sheldon Gudde was third in the javelin (141-4); Brett Bajema was third in the discus (129-7) and second in triple jump (41-3.5); and Nathan Seely was third in the 1,600 (4:28.29).

For the Lynden girls, Becki Lindquist was third in the 300 hurdles (48.44), Michelle Bruncks took third in the high jump (4-6), Amy Keiper was third in the 800 (2:25.82), and the 4x400 relay team of Miranda O’Neill, Keiper, Lindquist and Jill Beanblossom finished third (4:16.5).
Sehome took first in the girls’ 4x100 relay, as the team of Mari Tarleton, Alex Marcus, Kaya Jones and Zoe Moller ran a 50.8. Emily Landau was second in the high jump (4-8).
The Mariners’ Justin Santos was second in the 100 (11.57).
