PREP SOCCER: Squalicum defense shuts down Sehome

The Squalicum soccer team used a solid defensive performance to overcome Sehome 2-0 at Civic Stadium on Saturday.“Our defense was very strong,” Squalicum coach Joe McAuliffe said in a phone interview.George Karadimas scored both goals for the Storm within three minutes of each other. The first one in the 33rd minute from about 25 yards out and the second on a PK after getting fouled on a breakaway.Kyle Keller made three saves in goal including one fully stretched out to stop a shot on the far post side and earned the shutout in goal.McAuliffe also highlighted the play of Ian Krause who had a crucial tackle to break up a Sehome one-on-one with the keeper in the first half.
