The Burlington-Edison boys’ basketball used strong defensive play to earn a 53-37 Northwest Conference victory Saturday over visiting Ferndale.
“We certainly had a tough time scoring in the second half” Ferndale coach Scott Larrabee said. “They did a very good job defensively. We had some makeable shots, but I give all the credit to the Burlington defense.”
The Golden Eagles (6-4 overall, 2-1 NWC) were led by Max Hannah, who had 12 points. Taylor Pothier added 11 points for Ferndale, which plays Wednesday at Sehome.
Kolby Arendse scored 15 points and Evan Coulter added 13 for Burlington (9-1, 4-0 NWC).
