The Squalicum’s boys basketball team started hot and Blaine couldn’t find an answer as the Storm rolled to an 83-40 Northwest Conference win at Blaine on Friday.
“They are a very good team, I’m not taking anything away from them,” Blaine coach Dan Rucker said of Squalicum. “They had great balance and they came out very quick. We tried to adjust but the truth is they’re a very good passing team, they’re very unselfish and they’re very good defensively.”
Squalicum went up 18-8 after one quarter and increased the lead to 42- 15 by halftime.
The Storm was led by Keith Stackhouse’s 22 points, Nick Stackhouse scored 14, Brandon Sanford scored 12 and Patrick Voeut finished with 10 points.
