The Lynden Christian boys’ basketball team won its first game of the season with a 53-31 victory over Adelaide, Australia, at Lynden on Thursday.
“It felt great just to go back into that locker room having won a ball game and it felt good that the kids play really hard and put a complete game together effort-wise,” Lynden Christian coach Vic Wolffis said in a phone interview.
Lynden Christian started the game with a 10-6 first quarter and steadily built on its lead the rest of the way.
Zack Blok led the Lyncs with 14 points of 6 for 9 shooting, David Kooiman scored 10 points and both players grabbed seven rebounds.
