A day after losing by two points to Mount Vernon, the Sehome girls’ basketball team bounced back with a 54-34 nonleague victory against visiting Eatonville on Saturday.
The Mariners (7-2) shot 50 percent for the game and were able to respond after Eatonville focused its defense on Sehome inside player Brittany Todhunter.
“We were getting good looks,” Sehome coach Ed Wissing said in a phone interview. “The other girls stepped up and hit the outside shot.”
Lindsay Johnson and Jackie Zender each had 12 points and two 3-pointers apiece. Todhunter finished with five points and eight rebounds.
