PREP BOYS' BASKETBALL: Lummi wins in overtime

The Blackhawks rallied from a first-half deficit to catch and defeat the Hawks 69-62 in overtime in the Pacific Coast League contest at Lummi on Friday.

“Going into the fourth quarter we were down eight (43-25), and we told them we needed to scrap, and we did that,” Lummi coach Jerome Toby said.

Lummi played well as a team defensively, Toby said, and Isaac Finkbonner scored five critical points late in the fourth quarter and in the overtime period.

David James had 29 points, Jordan Wilson had 13 and Gale Jefferson scored 12 for Lummi (6-3 overall, 2-0 PCL), who play at Grace Academy in Marysville on Tuesday.
