The Lynden wrestling team got big performances from its upper-weight classes and cruised to a 54-18 win over visiting Sehome on Thursday.
The Lions won every match between 171 pounds and 285 pounds, including pins from Niels Brisbane (189), Taylor Creighton (215) and Donovan Gratten (285).
“Our upper-weight guys really wrestled well,” Lynden coach Randy Anderson said in a phone interview. The Lions also had pins from Matt Kelley at 135 pounds and Jeff Yoder at 152.
Sehome had two wins by fall, one from Jared McGarry at 130 and the other from Thayne Yazzi at 160.
